Abstract
Building trust in electronic business platforms is a key determinant for the extent of their use. Currently there is no tool to effectively measure the level of trust given to different online platforms, allowing potential users to quickly compare them and aid in their selection process. The aim of this paper is to establish methodology and an index for measuring the level of trust building mechanisms provided by those electronic business platforms based on data collected by questionnaire survey and apply this methodology on a selected e-marketplace.
