Abstract

Although Enterprise architecture (EA) is part of each company, only few organizations have their architecture formalized and manage it to meet their strategic goals. EA creates an opportunity for an effective interaction between different parts of enterprise.Moreover, EA serves as the blueprint for a company and the process which defines it. EA is more than technology it is also about strategy and business. Themain contribution of this paper consists in the investigation of the actual application of EA, by giving overview of the usage of enterprise architecture. Moreover, presented survey provides answer whether or not is there a statistically significant relation between adopting Enterprise architecture and strategic management in large Czech enterprises in the finance, insurance, information and communication sector. Result of the investigation could serve as an important driver for particular Enterprise architecture modification with the aim to better align it with strategic management.
