Abstract

The article analyzes relationships between the idea of application of the process-driven management in the field of public administration on one hand, and the idea of so-called eGovernment on the other hand. Basic factors and principles as well as historical circumstances of the idea of business process re-engineering and management are roughly explained in the first part of the article. Then, the applicability of these ideas in public administration are discussed based on the analysis of the main differences between market-oriented and public types of organization. This part also undoubtedly shows that the idea of process-driven management of public administration exactly overlaps the idea of eGovernment according to its widely accepted definition. In the final part the article introduces main feature and principles of the methodology for application the process-driven management in public administration and summarizes some general conclusions.
